Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, CA is Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava's first bridge in the United States. Opened on July 4, 2004, the pedestrian bridge over the Sacramento River links the museum building to the 200-acre Arboretum, while serving as a new downtown entrance for Redding's Sacramento River trail system.

But, more than that, the bridge is a work of art. The setting is beautiful, even on a cold December day. And the bridge itself supplies an unending array of captivating angles.
